Kolding, Denmark- August 18, 2010  Bestnet Europe Ltd. today announced the international launch of highly colored, striped Netprotect^® Long Lasting Insecticidal Mosquito Nets. 

 

Long Lasting Insecticidal Mosquito Nets (LLINs) are a vital tool in the combat against malaria, especially in sub-Saharan Africa where LLINs are now in use in widespread use in malaria reduction and eradication programs. Currently, the majority of LLINs are provided in standard solid white or solid light blue. While mosquito net manufacturers often incur additional charges of up to 10 to 15% percent more to customers for other color choices, Bestnet has been a market leader in providing Netprotect in a wide variety of solid color choices at no additional cost to the customer.

 

Bestnet will now produce Netprotect and Netprotect A in a variety of striped color choices designed to allow the LLINs to remain in place as a decorative accessory in homes. The new striped nets represent an alternative design for mosquito nets that makes using a Long Lasting Insecticidal Mosquito Net more attractive for potential users.

 

Beginning in August, 2010, Netprotect and Netprotect A will be available in dark blue & dark green, dark green & light blue, and red & light blue stripes. Bestnet plans to expand the color pallet for additional combinations used in these new striped nets, allowing for custom color combinations.

 

As with all Netprotect colored nets, there will be no additional charges for choosing the more attractive striped nets over standard solid white or solid light blue nets.
